It is important to understand that satisfaction and commitment are two very different concepts. While satisfaction measures to what extent an individual is happy or content with their job, commitment is a measure of the alignment of your employee's motivations with the mission of your organization. In other words, by focusing on employee commitment, leaders can begin to understand the effectiveness or the engagement of their workforce.
